Zombies

The “walking dead” are words you’ve  heard before so don’t be confused between fact and fiction. The idea of Zombies is prevalent in movies and television today is found in the Bible. Zombies are all around us. Their hideous looks are a reflection of what people are on the inside before regeneration. In the movies they eat brains. In real life their brain has been “eaten” by the virus of lust. “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,  thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.  All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”  Mark 7:21-23 NKJV

  All those who do not believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God are dead in their trespasses and sins. They are “zombies” born helpless and hell bound apart from Christ. By nature we are all children of wrath. Even when we were the walking dead, God made a provision for us through the sacrifice of His Son. God, Who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,  even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. (By grace you have been saved) Ephesians 2:4-5 NKJV  There is no one who does right, no one who understands, no one who seeks after God, and  no one who can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him. It is no more possible for a person to come to God by his own power than for a dead man to crawl out of his own grave. We do not seek after God until God seeks and calls us. The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.  Luke 19:10 NKJV

Why is sin so rampant today? No one is afraid of God. The further from creation the more the unregenerate man will become. It doesn’t take long for you to live on this earth to realize that things are getting worst. The evil that men are inflicting on other human beings grows daily. Years ago a child kidnapping was a horrendous act that attracted national media coverage. Today there are 10,000 kids missing in the United States every year. A few years ago mass killings were rare. Today they occur almost daily.

  In the movies the superhero saves the world. Today Christians are the ones that God has called to save the world. We are the “superhero’s of life.” You are here on this website because you have been called to share the Word of God with others. And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,  in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,  among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. Ephesians 2:1-3 NKJV  But now we are the called of God to witness to a lost world. Rise up and be counted. Take on the whole armor of God and march forward onto the battlefield.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17 NKJV

No one realizes God is seeking them until they hear the Word of God. In the movies you have to shoot the zombie in the head to kill them. In real life you have to share your faith and testimony to heal them. We have the cure within our hearts to heal all the zombies on earth. I will be the first to admit zombies many times reject God’s gift of salvation, and are hostile to our witnessing. It is important that we use a short, concise approach that is filled with the Word of God. Even if they reject our approach, we have still planted the seed. I know as a gardener some seeds germinate rather quickly while others take a good bit longer. For those we try and keep the ground moist and water them on a daily basis. We ever practice and rethink our approach, just as a doctor tries different medicines to heal the sick. We never give up because God never gave up on us. Good hunting!

SALVATION

is by the grace of God, through faith that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected from the dead according to the scriptures, it is a gift from God.

COMMUNICATION

We develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily Bible study and Prayer. We share the gospel of Jesus Christ through our words and actions.

COMPASSION

We are to love our God with all our heart, mind, and soul, We are to love one another as we love ourselves. We are to do unto others as we would have others do unto us.

SOLUTION

Congratulations, you are now a son or daughter of God. You are co – inheritors with Jesus Christ  of all creation. We do not know what we will be, but when we see Jesus, we will be like Him.
