Venetia writes, “What Does It mean To Be Saved?”
“For God so loved the world , that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”. John 3:16 NKJV. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap that is between us and God. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy. 2:5 NKJV. So that through Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. All we have to do is accept Jesus as our Savior. “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians. 2:8–9 NKJV. Jesus says, “ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to Him, and will sup with Him, and He with me.” Rev. 3:20 NKJV. Would you like to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior right now? “If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made with salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV. If you will hear His call and obey His word, you can be born again this very moment. He will save you now and make you a member of His family. Through prayer you can invite
Jesus into your life. Start by saying,
“Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe Your Son Jesus Christ died for my sins and was risen from the grave so that I can have fellowship with You. Please come into my life and lead me in Your ways.
In Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.”
Jasmine writes, “How do i find a good church?”
Every believer should attend church on a weekly basis. We should be involved in the activities of the church. It should be a church where God’s pastor teaches the written Word in all of its purity. We should pray daily for God to lead us to a church where the Holy Spirit is involved. A church where no part of the doctrine of the Gospel of Christ is denied, and we should support that church with our finances. God instructs us to come out from among the world and be separate.
Ask around to see what church some of your friends go to, or get together and go to a new church each week. To really get to know a church you should go to Sunday school, and Sunday night, or Wednesday programs. This is where you get to meet people on a one on one basis. During the week have your friends get to together for a Bible study and prayer time. Pray to God to lead you to a good Christian Church.
If for some reason there isn’t any good churches in your area spend time developing your Bible study. You can go to soulworks-small groups.com for Bible study material. Here you will find power point presentations you can read with each other as a group. I use them with groups and with individuals. Take turns having the Bible study in different homes. This is how the original church got started. Remember the building is not the church, you are.
Isabella writes, “What’s the difference between john the baptist and john in the gospel of john?”
John the Baptist was the forerunner to Christ. He lived in the desert, he ate locust and wild honey. He proclaimed, “repent for the the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” He was, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.” He was later beheaded by Herod.
John the Apostle was one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus He was the son of Zebedee. His brother was James, who was another of the Twelve Apostles. He wrote The Gospel of John, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John, and Revelation. he never called himself by his name. He always called himself the disciple that loved Jesus.
Anna writes, “What is the difference between the kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven?”
There is some difference between scholars as to what the two kingdoms mean. I am of the opinion that the Kingdom of God is inside of us. The Bible says, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV We are to have a personal relationship with God through daily Bible study and prayer. Through this relationship we inherit the Kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven is an actual kingdom that will come into place when Christ returns to earth.
