Let us enter into the throne room of our heavenly Father. “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; And from the throne proceeded lightning, thunder, and voices. A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. A million ministered to Him; one hundred million stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened. Excerpts from Daniel 7:9-10 and Revelation 4:1-6 NKJV
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 1:26-27 & 2:7 NKJV The triune being of man was created by God. When we read in Genesis 4:12-14 we will find that other humans walked the earth at the same time. Cain was cast out of the protected area that God provided for the others, and Cain became very concerned the other human like beings would kill him. And Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear! Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.” NKJV
Now we come to the beginning of the negative forces of the universe. In Ezekiel 28 Lucifer, Satan the devil, is described as a seal of perfection, full of wisdom and beauty. He was in the garden of Eden and every precious stone adorned him. He was anointed as a guardian cherub and ordained by God. He was on the holy mountain of God and walked among the fiery stones. He was blameless in his ways from the day he was created until wickedness was found in him. His business made him very rich and his heart became filled with violence. His pride in his heart placed him above the throne of God. In Isaiah 14:13-14 we have the five I will’s” of Satan, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; And I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”
Satan convinced one third of the angels to follow him and He led a great revolt. Then in Revelation 12:7-9 we are told, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” In Luke 10:17 Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” Sin was cast out of heaven and was brought to the earth, and through Satan’s deception Adam and Eve were led astray. Now all of mankind was lost.
Satan’s fallen angels found earth women to be very beautiful, and took them for their wives creating a being that was half angel and half human. They were giants. Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:1-4 NKJV So God flooded the earth and killed all life except Noah and his family. Satan, and all his evil angels survived because they are spirit beings.
Most people believe God created the earth to be without sin, and that somehow Satan sneaked past God and caused Eve, then Adam, to sin, spoiling God’s perfect creation. If this were true then God would not be the all – knowing God that He is and would be fallible, which He is not. God is perfect in every way. Satan, the serpent, was placed in the garden of Eden because God wanted him there. The tree of good and evil was also placed in the center of the garden of Eden to test man and his new mate. The fruit of the tree did not contain good and evil, it could have been any ordinary fruit tree. The sin came into place when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit even though they could have used their own free will and chosen not to. “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam (Jesus Christ) became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 1 Corinthians 15:45-46
This was God’s plan all along to eradicate sin from His kingdom. The plan was decided before the foundations of the earth were laid. Christ, the second of the Godhead, was to come to earth as a newborn child to experience everything that man must go through, but without sin. So, He became the sacrifice necessary to redeem our souls, and reconcile us to God. “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.” Matthew 18:11 NKJV When we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Holy Spirit enters our heart and takes up residence. We become a temple, or tabernacle, where God resides. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Ezekiel 36:27 NKJV You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5 NKJV The tabernacle in the Old Testament was the inner chamber, or Holiest of All, of the temple. The place where God resided. When Christ was crucified the curtain that separated the outer temple from the Holy of Holies tore in two, because now the Spirit of God will reside in our hearts. We have direct communication with our heavenly Father. God determines every event that is necessary to complete His eternal purpose in Christ.
With all the power and control over so many angels and humans, Satan himself was completely unaware of the dispensation of the church. Over the last two thousand years God has been calling a select group of people who were chosen through their own will. We are appointed not to be slaves or servants, but to be sons and daughters, joint heirs of all creation. Satan uses every asset at his disposal to prevent us from accepting God’s precious gift. The music, television, video games of today are distractions from the wonderful opportunity that salvation brings. Violence, sex, and material desire are all satanic traps.
What is Life? A personal relationship with Jesus Christ through daily Bible study and prayer. When we believe, we receive the Holy Spirit of God. He shares with us secrets of spiritual life, and leads us into a permanent relationship with our heavenly Father. We are cleansed from all unrighteousness through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ. We are sealed until the day of redemption when we will receive our eternal bodies, and live forever. We can go the way of the world and spend eternity separated from God, or we can believe what God tells us through His Holy Word. It is your choice. No one is forcing you to a particular direction. You are standing at the crossroads of life and death. What is it going to be?
